Alice Cook, from Glen Burnie, MD, was one of our 2013 Holiday Sweepstakes winners! Alice was overjoyed when she received the winning email on the night of December 16, 2013. She exclaimed, “I couldn’t wait to call in the morning! I couldn’t believe that I had actually won!”
Alice was so excited, she almost didn’t think it was true! “I thought it was a scam at first. I thought there’s no way I could have won $1,000 in cash!” When asked what she would do with her $1,000 cash prize, Alice happily stated, “I will be using this money for Christmas shopping for my family, especially for my 10-year-old daughter. This couldn’t have come at a better time!”
Alice has been a Mariner Finance customer at our Glen Burnie branch for a little over a year, and currently works for the state of Maryland’s Highway Administration. She has been extremely satisfied with Mariner Finance’s customer service, and says we have always been very fair and have convenient locations.
Alice was extremely thankful and happy to have won the $1,000 cash prize, and she cannot wait to see her daughter’s giant smile on Christmas morning.

Teresa Cothron, from Murfreesboro, TN, was our other 2013 Holiday Sweepstakes winner! When Teresa opened the winning email on Monday night, she was surprised she won. Teresa stated, “I was shocked; I had actually forgotten about the contest…I have never won anything in my life!”
When asked what she would do with her $1,000 cash prize, Teresa exclaimed, “This couldn’t have come at a better time! My car’s heater just broke and I had to use all my Christmas money to get it fixed.” Now that Teresa has an extra $1,000 in her pocket, she is able to buy gifts for her kids and grandchildren and still get her car’s heater fixed.
Teresa has been a loyal Mariner Finance customer at our Murfreesboro branch for over four years, and currently works as an Administrative Assistant for a flight company. She is extremely impressed with Mariner Finance’s customer service, and even stated, “I have always had excellent experiences with Mariner Finance. They have always been very helpful, and make the loan process very fast and easy.”
Teresa was overjoyed and very thankful to have won the $1,000 cash prize, and she cannot wait to start shopping for her family’s Christmas presents.
